REMINGTON TECHNOLOGY AND DON BOSCO TECHNICAL SCHOOL SIGN MOU TO EMPOWER YOUTH AND UP-SKILL WORKFORCE

Remington Technology and Don Bosco Technical School (DBTS) Gabutu have officially set their long-standing partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 2026 on 28th May. This agreement reinforces a mutual commitment to advancing technical education and professional development in Papua New Guinea.

The strategic framework establishes a coordinated working relationship designed to leverage the strengths of both institutions, focusing on two primary areas:

  • Student Job Training with Remington Technology Limited: Remington Technology will host Don Bosco Gabutu students for workplace-based training aligned with the institute’s academic calendar. This will provide students with critical, hands-on experience within Remington’s operational environment across various technical trades.
  • Staff Training and Skills Development: Don Bosco Gabutu will deliver tailored professional development programs for Remington employees. These customized sessions will ensure Remington staff remain at the forefront of evolving industry standards.

The formal signing ceremony was attended by key executives from both organizations, including DBTS – Gabutu Principal Mr. Martin Dai, DBTS – Gabutu Deputy Principal Mr. Kenneth Gonzales, and Remington Group CEO Mr. Justin Kieseker.

Remington Group CEO has emphasised on the importance of the ongoing relationship, noting that Remington’s continued investment in technical institutions is a cornerstone of its mission to foster a highly skilled local workforce and create a better future for PNG’s youth.
